6/16/2022 - MEDFORD CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVITIES & FIREWORKS SET FOR JULY 1st
Medford Celebrates is most pleased to announce that ShopRite of Medford has agreed to sponsor Medford’s 2022 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display as the Presenting Sponsor. The event will be held at Freedom Park on Friday, July 1, with a July 2 rain date.
“The proceeds from the Presenting Sponsor go directly to purchase the evening’s fireworks,” said Bob Egan, President of Medford Celebrates, the volunteer organization that produces the event every year. “Medford has always had fantastic fireworks displays to celebrate our nation’s independence and we are grateful to ShopRite of Medford for again providing the funds to continue that tradition.”

As we approach two weeks to the big event, here's some important info of note. Please check the Medford Celebrates Facebook page or website (www.MedfordCelebrates.org) for updates as the date of the event approaches.
1. In the event of questionable weather, the rain date will be Saturday, July 2nd. We will post cancellation information to the official Medford Township Facebook page, on www.MedfordTownship.com; and also NIXLE and the Township email contact system. Freedom Park now has a state of the art lightening detection and warning system in the event of any last minute weather changes.
2. Directions to Freedom Park and places to park can be found here on the Medford Township website: https://www.medfordtownship.com/events. **Please note traffic detours in and around Freedom Park will be in effect. Those requiring handicapped parking will be directed by Police to dedicated parking areas.
3. Live music will start at approximately 6:15 pm. Our opening act is "Camille K," a Philadelphia-based musician, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. Our featured artist is "No Commitment," a twelve-piece, horn-driven Jersey rock band featuring five different lead singers that plays songs from the 1960s to today. The band will perform before the fireworks and will also play a post-fireworks party set for those who want to keep the good times going.
4. Food Vendors confirmed to date include Smokin' Addition BBQ, The Berry Bus, Dave's Delicious Fries, Harry's Boardwalk Specials, Pirate Pete's Soda Pop Company, Cousin's Maine Lobster, Wicked Grill BBQ, Mr. Softee, plus novelties.
5. Freedom Park, including the Freedom Barks Dog Park, will be closed all day on July 1st to allow the fireworks company and event personnel and volunteers to set up.

Medford Celebrates, Inc. is an IRS registered 501(c)3 non-profit consisting of a small group of dedicated volunteers who raises all of the funds to stage this event; including reimbursement to Medford Township for the cost of Police, Fire, EMS, Fire Police, & DPW personnel. This event would not be possible without the generous support of their sponsors and donations accepted at the event.
