| The Medford Skatepark concept was initiated in early 1997, when
officers from the Police Department suggested that the Township's Recreation Advisory Board (RAB) include a facility for skateboarders in one of the two new park facilities under development by the Recreation Department. The RAB, after consulting with township officials, proposed the
inclusion of a skatepark in Freedom After approval from the Medford township Council to proceed with

Our skatepark will be open daily without supervision for skateboarders and
rollerbladers of all ages. NO BIKES ALLOWED. Hours of operation will be from 10:00 am until
dusk daily, weather permitting. (except for certain holidays) For your review,
the new rules are listed below.
Please note that although the skatepark will not be supervised, ALL
skatepark users must still wear helmets, and youths ages 14 and younger must
also wear elbow pads and knee pads. Recreation Department staff, along with
the Medford Police Department, will be providing spot enforcement.
Admission to the Skatepark is FREE
FREEDOM PARK SKATEPARK RULES
Any person attempting to use this facility during other times shall be subject
to penalty per Chapter 109 of the Medford Township Administrative Code.
The Township reserves the right to close this facility for any circumstances
deemed necessary, or restrict entry to this facility and to ask persons to
leave this facility if any of the following rules are not followed or if unsafe
behavior is observed.
THE FREEDOM PARK SKATEPARK IS AN UNSUPERVISED FACILITY
THE SKATEPARK WILL BE CLOSED IF RAMPS ARE WET OR IF TEMPERATURES ARE 32 DEGREES OR BELOW!
Skateboarding and in-line skating are dangerous sports that can result in serious injury. All participants entering the park do so at their own risk.
All users MUST wear helmets. All users aged 14 and younger MUST wear safety equipment; including helmets, elbow and kneepads. All equipment is to be worn per manufacturer's specifications. (i.e. helmets strapped)
School-age youth are not permitted to use this park when their school is in session.
The following are PROHIBITED in this skate park:
Bicycles and Scooters
Motorized Vehicles
Pets
Smoking
(Please note that skateboarding is prohibited outside of the enclosed Skatepark
within Freedom Park)
Also, the use of drugs, alcohol, profanity, abusive language and/or vandalism is strictly prohibited and shall result in automatic and permanent expulsion from this facility and all other penalties provided for to the fullest extent of the law.
Users will refrain from bringing any loose items into the Skatepark, including backpacks, food, beverages, etc.
ALL USERS MUST SKATE RESPONSIBLY. THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDFORD WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURIES

Building located directly across the street (91 Union St.)
Follow State Highway Route 70 to intersection
of Route 70 & Jones Road (Sharp's Run Plaza is at this intersection).
Turn onto Jones Road and follow to the end. The entrance to Freedom Park
is at the end of Jones Road at
Union Street.
