TOWNSHIP OF MEDFORD

 

RESOLUTION 16-2012

 

FILLING VACANCY ON COUNCIL

 

 

            WHEREAS, former Council Member Christopher Myers resigned from the Medford Township Council on December 5, 2011, by letter of that date, tendered to the Township Manager and Township Clerk; and

            WHEREAS, Councilman Myers term on Council expires December 31, 2013, and the Medford Township Council desires to make an appointment in accord with N.J.S.A. 40A:16-11 in order to fill this position within the 30-day time frame prescribed therein; and

            WHEREAS, an election shall be held for the remainder of Mr. Myers unexpired term, said election to occur on November 6, 2012;

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Medford, that ___________, a lawful resident of Medford, be and is hereby appointed to the Medford Township Council for the vacancy created by the resignation of Christopher Myers.
