TOWNSHIP OF MEDFORD

 

RESOLUTION   86-2010

 

AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT

FOR PHASE III RENOVATIONS TO CRANBERRY HALL

 

            WHEREAS, the Township of Medford has received bids on February 23, 2010 for renovations to the Cranberry Hall Senior Citizens Center; and

            WHEREAS, six (6) bids were received, and RNM Construction, LLC was the lowest responsible bidder, with a base bid in the amount of thirty-five thousand and four hundred dollars ($35,400.00) and alternate #1A in the amount of four thousand five hundred dollars($4,500.00), alternate #2 in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), alternate #3 in the amount of two thousand two hundred dollars ($2,200.00), alternate #4 in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), alternate #5 in the amount of six thousand eight hundred dollars ($6,800.00), and alternate #6 in the amount of four hundred dollars ($400), for a total bid of fifty-five thousand three hundred dollars ($55,300); and

            WHEREAS, the bid of RNM Construction, LLC complied with the bid specifications as prepared by the Township; and

            WHEREAS, funds are available for this purpose in part through a Community Development Block grant administered by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders;  and

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Medford that RNM Construction, LLC with offices at 45 Hockamick Road in Cookstown, New Jersey, be and is hereby awarded the contract for Phase III renovations to Cranberry Hall, in accordance with the Architect’s Bid Summary attached hereto and made a part hereof.

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor, Township Manager and/or Township Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents in furtherance of this bid award.
