*LEAF PROGRAM - Curbside leaf collection will occur
during the months of April, May, November & December. In accordance with the new NJDEP regulations for storm water
management, No leaves may be placed roadside before times posted by the
Township on the Township Website, Newspaper, and Medford Messenger Newsletter
or by posted sign. Any leaves placed curbside outside of these times will
be the responsibility of the homeowner to have removed. Sweeping, raking,
blowing or otherwise placing leaves at the curb is only allowed seven (7) days
prior to a scheduled collection. Placement of leaves at the curb or along the
street at any other time or in any other manner is a violation of this
ordinance. Leaves may be raked and placed no closer than ten (10) feet of a
storm drain. If placed within 10 feet from a storm drain then ALL leaves must
be contained in some type of enclosure ie: chicken
wire, plastic fence, etc. and must be free of all twigs, brush, vines or any
other foreign debris . Leaves must be placed no more than 6 feet from the edge
of roadway. No leaves may be placed in the roadway. Any leaves generated
by professional landscapers, contractors, or anyone hired by a homeowner shall
be removed by the same. Leaf collection will be done in each neighborhood once
during fall leaf collection and once during spring leaf collection. Leaves may
be taken to the municipal garage drop off daily and placed in the dumpster
however, before placing them in the dumpster they must be un-bagged.
