Below is a history of the Township's participation with the State's program over the last nine years.

Since 1999, Medford Township has sprayed a total of 7,287 acres with the State's program using the pesticide Bt for Gypsy Moths as follows:

1999 - 540 acres
2000 - there was no need for spraying
2001 - 442 acres
2002 - 1,200 acres
2003 - 220 acres
2004 - there was no need for spraying
2005 - there was no need for spraying
2006 - 1,637 acres
2007 - 3,427 acres

On the years that Medford Township did not spray it was due to the fact that the State said we did not qualify.

The areas that are determined to be sprayed is done by ground and ariel inspections by the State Dept. of Agriculture in the fall.
